HomeStoryCup V powered by XMG approaches at a steady pace! From July 5th to 8th you will be again able to witness the best of the best in a unique tournament situation. Four entire days. Four entire days full of exciting matches, full of poker and full of cheering fans. For four entire days TaKe's home will once again turn into a microcomos of eSports, in which the pros can not only just go with the flow of their ludic drive, but where they can also enjoy theirselves and have fun beyond the computer screen.
We are proud to be the only tournament organizer who can offer you such an ungraspable atmosphere no other tournament comes close to. The HomeStoryCup powered by XMG is unique!
But this is not all, we want to take the next step. We listened to you, and we want to make the HSC V even more interactive and open than ever before. To reach this goal we do offer you a once-in-a-lifetime chance:

What sounds like a dream is in reality not as impossible as you might think. All that you need is just a good portion of skill:
We will once again host open qualifier tournaments for the HSC V!
There will be five in total in contrast to the three of HSC 4. Here is a list of the most important pieces of information:

How many qualifiers will there be and when?
There will be five qualifiers in total. Two for North America, two for europe and one for Korea.

What can you win?
You can read about the prizes in the table above. The winner of each qualifier receives a spot for the HomeStoryCup V powered by XMG with all travelling expenses paid.

Under what circumstances am I qualified to partake?
You have to live in the region of the tournament in which you want to participate. Aside from that, all you have to do is register your account in time. The link for this will be provided soon. Of course just one account per player is allowed. Aside from that there are no limitations.

What is the tournament format?
Every tournament will be a single elimination tournament. Each one will start with a bracket right off the bat. Only the strongest can earn the right to participate!
Up to quarter final every round will be played as "best of 1" (Bo1). That means: One map per round. The winner moves on, the loser is out. Quartar finals and onwards will be a best-of-3 (Bo3).

Of course, we will stream every tournament for you from the start until the very end. If you don't want to test you skills, or if you are already out of the tournament, hopefully our live cast can provide some fun for you. ;) You will be able to watch everything in 1080p Full HD on our premium stream (HERE).
Apart from the spots distributed by the qualifiers, we will appoint the rest of the players ourself, in order to guarantee the best Starcraft 2 action imaginable. Our first qualified participent is empire.Kas, who won the spot by managing to claim the 2nd place at our invitational tournament at the beginning of May. Unfortunately, Stephano, who made the first place, will be unable to attend HSC V.

Der HomeStoryCup V powered by XMG rückt näher mit beständigem Schritt! Vom 5. bis zum 8. Juli könnt ihr wieder die Besten der Besten in einer einmaligen Turniersituation beobachten. Vier volle Tage lang. Vier volle Tage voller spannender Partien, voller Poker und voller jubelnder Fans. Vier volle Tage lang wird aus TaKes eigenem Heim wieder ein Mikrokosmos des eSports, in dem die Pros nicht nur ihrem kompetetivem Trieb vollen Lauf lassen, sondern sich auch abseits des Computers vergnügen und Spaß haben können.
Wir sind stolz darauf, als einziger Ausrichter so eine unfassbare Atmosphäre bieten zu können, der kein anderes Event auf diesem Erdball in irgendeiner Form gleichkommen könnte. Der HomeStoryCup V powered by XMG ist einzigartig!
Aber das soll nicht heißen, dass wir für den Rest unserer Tage auf der Stelle treten wollen. Nein, wir hören auf euch und wollen den HSC V noch interaktiver und offener gestalten als je zuvor. Im Rahmen dessen ergibt sich für euch eine einmalige Chance:

Im Gegensatz zum HSC 4 werden es dabei 5 statt lediglich 3 sein. Im folgenden findet ihr die wichtigsten Infos:

Es wird insgesamt fünf Quali-Turniere geben. Zwei für Nordamerika, zwei für Europa und eins für Korea.

- Was gibt es zu gewinnen?
In der Tabelle oben könnt ihr die Gewinne gleich ablesen. Der Gewinner jedes Qualifikationsturniers erhält einen Platz beim HomeStoryCup V powered by XMG und bekommt alle Reisekosten erstattet.
- Was muss ich erfüllen, um teilzunehmen?
Ihr müsst in der Region leben, für die ihr euch anmeldet! Ansonsten ist alles was ihr tun müsst, euch rechtzeitig für das Event anzumelden. Den Link hierzu werden wir euch in Kürze liefern. Es ist selbstverständlich nur ein Account pro Person erlaubt! Ansonsten bestehen keine Einschränkungen.
- Was ist das Turnierformat?
Jedes Turnier wird Single-Elimination sein. Gestartet wird sofort in einem Bracket. Nach einer Niederlage seid ihr raus. Nur der Stärkste verdient das Recht der Teilnahme!
Bis zum Viertelfinale (ausschließlich) wird jede Runde im Best-of-1 (Bo1) gespielt. Im Klartext: Eine Map pro Runde. Der Gewinner zieht weiter, der Verlierer ist weg vom Fenster. Das Viertelfinale und alles danach wird schließlich ein Best-of-3 (Bo3) sein.

Natürlich werden wir für euch alle Turniere von Anfang bis Ende streamen. Traut ihr euch also eine Teilnahme nicht zu, oder seid ihr womöglich herausgeflogen, können wir euch hoffentlich mit unserem Livecast etwas trösten. ;) Auf unserem Premium-Stream (HIER) könnt ihr dabei alles in 1080p Full HD verfolgen! Neben den durch die Qualifier ausgespielten Spots werden wir in gewohnter Manier den Großteil des Feldes mit handverlesenen Spielern füllen, um euch auf jeden Fall das beste Starcraft überhaupt bieten zu können. Einen ersten sicheren Partizipienten haben wir bereits mit empire.Kas, der sich seinen Spot in unserem Invitational Turnier zum Start unserer neuen Seite verdient hat. Der damalige Gewinner Stephano wird leider nicht am HSC V teilnehmen.
Es ist kein weiter Weg mehr bis zum 5. Juli. Mit schlagendem Herzen sind wir bereit. Wir hoffen ihr seid es ebenso.
