SIX NEW PLAYERS AND TOURNAMENT SYSTEM ANNOUNCED
HOMESTORYCUP IV POWERED BY XMG QUALIFIER RESULTS *UPDATE*
Our prize pool is improving every time. At HomeStoryCup I we had 500€, at HomeStoryCup III we had 5000€, and now we have 15000$. That alone impresses us very much. The event is constantly evolving. Now we are ready to take the next step. We managed to secure 2 spots for the Intel Extreme Masters World Championship at Cebit. Furthermore, the first 16 players will get rating points. Taking this step makes HomeStoryCup even more worthwhile.

Once again it's time for us to announce the next set of players who will be invited to the HomeStoryCup IV powered by XMG. It seemed like you guys enjoyed the last pixel riddles, so here's another one with the next six players:

At this point, we also need to announce some changes for the participants. Unfortunately, Kas won't be able to attend the HomeStoryCup IV powered by XMG, because he wanted to celebrate Christmas with his family in January.
But of course, we found an equal replacement for him. Benjamin 'DeMusliM' Baker, who already attended all of the past HomeStoryCups (and even won the first), will step in Kas' footprints.

TOURNAMENT SYSTEM
of the HomeStoryCup 4 powered by XMG
We start with eight groups, each consisting of four players. The winners of each group qualify for the Ro16, which will be played in form of a second group stage. Again, there will be four groups with four players each.
However, we have one special feature for the Ro16: The four best players from the group stage (determined by Bo3 wins and mapscore) may choose their group. At first, all players are seeded into 4 groups. After all the players have been assigned to a group, the best 4 players can pick one other player with whom they want to change their spot within the groups.
Of course we do this for a reason: The players are encouraged to give an explanation for their decision live on the stream. In case several players have equal wins and points, they will face each other in a match of Scissors, Rock, Paper - winner gets to pick their group first.
From the Ro16, the first two players from each group will advance to the Ro8, which will be played as Single Elimination, Bo5. The Grand Final will be played as a Bo7.
QUALIFIER RESULTS
EU Qualifier
We started with the EU Qualifier which had an awesome lineup. Here are just a few names: Nerchio, BlinG, Naama, Dream, Marine, Haypro, Go0dy, DIMAGA and many more. Next to the big names in the tournament, we had some surprises, too. One of those was the german player DarkHydra, who managed to take the 4th place and missed the qualification just by one spot.
The largest surprise of the evening was Naama, who won the qualifier. With his victory, he's able to travel to germany again and participate in the HomeStoryCup IV powered by XMG. His opponent was DIMAGA, and he didn't go easy on him. Naama has already participated in previous HomeStoryCups and can now look forward to another one.

US Qualifier
The second qualifier was dedicated to the NA players and had a nice lineup as well: Attero, KiLLER, Zelniq, Major, CatZ, ret, vi0let, KawaiiRice and many more. vi0let was able to reach the first place, after winning over Attero in a great match. The first place will grant him a paid trip to the HomeStoryCup IV powered by XMG. The third place went to KawaiiRice, after defeating jEcho.

KR Qualifier
And last but not least, there was the KR Qualifier, which was also filled with exceptional players like JulyZerg, Keen, Seal, Legalmind, jjakji, Min, Sage, Heart, Bomber and Lucky, to name only a few. One of the most interesting developments of the tournament was that JulyZerg and jjiakji dropped out early, and even players like Min or Sage didn't make it into the final round.
The tournament was won by someone most people probably would not have expected to make it in this bracket. Sound managed to beat Revival in the finals 3:2, and could therefore secure a spot for the HomeStoryCup 4 powered by XMG.

2nd Place: Revival
